We create consistent access to movement, nourishment, and community—because proactive health starts before symptoms show up.

Every week we take off from Nike Detroit for the Community Run + Walk—a tradition that’s grown stronger through every season. Choose your lane: a 1.5-mile walk/run, 3-mile run, or step up to our new 4+ mile route designed to help you grow.
At the midway point, we come together for Active Recovery—a short fitness burst that keeps the whole crew moving as one before we finish strong.
This week, we’re raising the bar: our Walk Crew is chasing personal records, and every step counts toward a shoebox raffle giveaway.
MORE THAN A RUN CLUB
City Sweat Club is a community-first fitness movement—blending expert-led workouts, virtual coaching, and service-driven wellness experiences across the city. We train in the streets, sweat with purpose, and show up for our people.
In partnership with Nike Detroit, we host a weekly Run Club every Wednesday at 6 PM. It’s open to all paces and always free. Whether you're walking your first mile or sprinting to your next personal best, you belong here.

Impact starts with how we show up for one another.
Sometimes it’s as simple as a smile in the checkout line, holding the door, or helping someone pick up what they’ve dropped. Other times it runs deeper—offering encouragement to the person who pauses on the mat, carrying more than physical fatigue. The call is the same: to carry each other’s burdens, to do good whenever the opportunity arises, and to not grow weary in the work. Because even the smallest gestures can remind someone they are seen, valued, and never alone.
This is the heart of City Sweat Club—we go the extra mile, together.
Movement That Matters:
Year One Results
In our first 52 weeks, City Sweat Club delivered measurable, community-rooted results:
Facilitated over 100 free fitness classes across Detroit
Engaged more than 1,800 participants through consistent, citywide wellness programming
Built strategic partnerships with Nike Detroit, the Detroit Pistons, Roasting Plant Detroit, and other key stakeholders
Delivered over 2,000 hours of community-based wellness—including full-time leadership at the Juvenile Restorative Program and consistent City Sweat Club classes, events, and service activations across Detroit.
Supplied more than 200 students and families with essential back-to-school support
Distributed thousands of water bottles and nutritious local snacks to support healthy participation
Launched and maintained three weekly programs:
Nike Detroit Community Run Club: a free, all-paces community run every Wednesday
Coffee Run + Grocery Run: alternating Saturday activations supporting Black-owned Detroit businesses Roasting Plant Detroit and Detroit People’s Food Co-op
SWEAT: the results-driven, strength-based group fitness experience developed for community accountability
Expanded access to wellness through virtual coaching, nutrition education, and digital goal-setting tools
